Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the POCT Section of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL), the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology, Division of Bioanalytics and Bioprocesses (IZI-BB), and the Institute of Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, and Molecular Diagnostics at the University of Leipzig, we cordially invite you to the:
7th German Point-of-Care Testing Symposium (POCT)
March 15–17, 2027, in Leipzig
POCT – New Perspectives for Cross-Sectional Technologies
and Expansion of Clinical Applications
Following the conclusion of the successful Munich POCT Symposia (2012–2022), we are now very proud to revive this independent conference format as the German POCT Symposium. In line with the event’s theme, we aim to once again discuss the technological and clinical advancements in point-of-care laboratory diagnostics across the entire spectrum of the healthcare system as well as in the home care sector.
According to Germany’s new High-Tech Agenda, the intelligent integration of engineering, biotechnology, and medicine creates new opportunities for sustainable and innovative medical care for society. With the further development of relevant POCT technologies, the range of available test parameters is expanding. Clinical application areas are also evolving dynamically and no longer encompass only acute care settings, but increasingly include preventive aspects as well, which in turn presents new challenges for device developers.
We anticipate another lively scientific exchange on analytical and technological fundamentals, POCT-related IT topics (with a focus on AI), clinical diagnostic applications, as well as organizational and quality assurance aspects of point-of-care laboratory diagnostics. However, the concerns of direct POCT caregivers are also to be thoroughly discussed through the involvement of the DVTA.
We are sticking with our tried-and-true conference format, this time held in central Leipzig. The facilities at the Faculty of Sports Science at the University of Leipzig provide the ideal setting for this event. You can look forward to an exciting industry exhibition featuring the latest equipment innovations, as well as national and international speakers, cutting-edge topics from both academia and practice, and a wide range of opportunities for professional exchange and networking.
We look forward to seeing you!
Best regards,
Prof. Dr. Peter B. Luppa (Technical University of Munich)
Prof. Dr. Astrid Petersmann (University of Oldenburg)
Prof. Dr. Antje J. Bäumner (Fraunhofer IZI-BB Leipzig and University of Regensburg)
Dr. Dirk Kuhlmeier (Fraunhofer IZI-BB and DIANA POCT Network, Leipzig)
Prof. Dr. Berend Isermann (University of Leipzig)
